Sydney gets her first report card, and we have our first parent teacher conference.
Sydney has an excellent report card, receiving 4s (advanced scores) in Reading, Writing, Speaking, Mathematics, and Arts. She is above grade level and is in the top group in her class for Reading, Writing, and Math. Her teacher, Mrs. Levine will recommend her to apply to a Gifted Magnet School, and highly recommends that Sydney attend a performing arts school. We are so proud of her!

Sydney's First Day of Golf Lessons

We have the most amazing vacation at Walt Disney World!
We stay at the amazing Wilderness Lodge......the view from our room....the pool that Sydney swam in every day......and we got to watch the electric water parade from our balcony.
We start out our first day having brunch at Cinderella's castle....We have fantastic food and Sydney gets to meet Cinderella, Snow White, Belle, the Fairy Godmother, and Jasmine.
Sydney having fun in the Grand Floridian lobby........our first night's dinner at Narcoossee's celebrating Kipp's birthday........being on the free Disney Dining plan was amazing....we took advantage and ate at a lot of nice restaurants......I had the Maine lobster, Kipp and Sydney had a great steak dinner!
Day 2 - we went to Animal Kingdom; we went on the Kilimanjaro Safaris where we saw free-roaming animals -- giraffes, gazelles, elephants, rhinos, and lions. This photo is in front of the Tree of Life. Sydney meets Flick from A Bugs Life. And she got to perform and be part of the Lion King Show! Sydney spent a lot of time digging up bones in The Boneyard.
Our 2nd night's dinner is at Chef Mickey's buffet at the Contemporary Resort, again celebrating Kipp's birthday. It's a great buffet, and Sydney gets to meet Mickey, Minnie, Donald Duck, Chip and Dale, and Goofy.
We also got to ride in the very front of the monorail with the driver, and we all got our co-pilot licenses!
Day 3 - we go to Epcot. Sydney has an Epcot passport & gets it stamped. We visit Canada, the United Kingdom where we have a nice relaxing snack & speak in British accents. We go to France where we buy a dessert at the French bakery. We go to Japan & share some sushi & ginger cake. Then, in Germany where we shared a bratwurst with sauerkraut. In China, Sydney meets Mulan & Mushu. In Norway, we ride the Maelstrom boat voyage. Then, to Mexico...it starts to rain a little, but we're prepared...we go to Italy, United States, and Morocco.
Day 4 we go to MGM Studios. We go to Journey Into Narnia where we got to visit the set. Sydney meets Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl, and Leo from the Little Einsteins. She enjoys watching the Beauty & the Beast show. Later, we head to Animal Kingdom where Sydney played in the Boneyard again.
Day 5 we head to the Magic Kingdom again. Sydney gets to perform & be part of the new "Woody's Roundup" show. Diana, a Disney PR photographer took a bunch of photos of Sydney and sent us these. Day 6 we go back to Epcot for the International Food & Wine Festival, and have an amazing dinner at Boma at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Day 6 we check out Port Orleans Riverside and Downtown Disney.
On our last day, Sydney has her first experience trading pins @ Downtown Disney.......Sydney is sad to leave Walt Disney World!

We all have a great time! We took Sydney to see Excalibur, Luxor, New York New York, the Lion Habitat at the MGM Grand, M&M World, Paris Las Vegas, we saw the Bellagio Fountain show, the Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens, the 20,000 gallon saltwater aquarium at the Mirage, Caesar's Palace where we saw the talking statues, Treasure Island, the Venetian, and Sheridan's Frozen Custard
We stay at Lolo and Lola's new home in Henderson..........we surprise Grandma for her 70th Birthday! We all meet for a surprise dinner at Makino's!

Sydney's 4th visit to Disneyland / California Adventure

We have a relaxing day -- rode It's a Small World, the Mad Hatter's Tea Cups, Toontown's roller coaster, visited Mickey's House, relaxed & watched the Parade of Dreams parade. Then, we watched the Snow White musical. Afterwards, we headed off to California Adventure where we caught some of the Block Party Bash parade, Sydney got soaked in A Bug's Land; Sydney rode Soarin' over California for the first time & loved it! We walked through Paradise Pier - went in the Tortilla Factory, Boudin Bakery, rode on King Triton's Carousel, got some fish 'n' chips & waited for the Electrical Parade. We ended the evening watching the fireworks from California Adventure.

Sydney rides Splash Mountain & Thunder Mountain for the first time, 2nd time on the Matterhorn, Pirates of the Caribbean, Jungle Cruise, Astro Orbitor, Buzz Lightyear & Star Tours for the 1st time (which she loved!)

Sydney performed great -- singing loud, doing the hand motions, and bowing at every applause!

She loves to cook, help clean up, and do "something important."
She learns to sing "Seasons of Love'" from Rent, and "Wake Me Up When September Ends" by Green Day.
She enjoys her karate, ballet & tap classes. She loves to do arts & crafts. She loves her baths. She loves playing with make-up, nail polish, and hair. She loves going to Disneyland & LegoLand. She loves going to birthday parties; she's already gone to four from her Kirk O'the Valley classmates.

Sydney loves Disneyland! She loved the Peter Pan ride, King Arthur Carousel, It's a Small World, Dumbo, and the Astro Orbitor.
She didn't like the Matterhorn; she loves fast rides, but she got scared when the monster roared really loud in the dark. And she didn't like the Snow White ride, but she was willing to go on the Pirates ride; most of the time, her head was down.
Sydney wanted to meet the Princesses, so we had lunch at Ariel's Grotto @ California Adventure Park.
She got autographs from: Princess Aurora, Cinderella, Ariel, Jasmine, and Belle.
And then she also got Hercules' autograph in the Disney Animation Building.
